About the Role

The Fraunhofer IPMS is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Emerging Memory Solutions unit. As part of our team, you will work on the characterization of new electronic components on 300mm silicon wafers. Leveraging our extensive physical measurements, you will manage and process large data sets. Your main task will be to enhance and implement procedures for automated data processing and visualization using Python.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create databases to store metrology data
  • Connect databases with internal data processing software
  • Implement new features for data visualization, processing, and automation
  • Apply physical knowledge in programming code
  • Document code effectively
  • Coordinate with process engineers and team members

Requirements

  • Enrolled in studies related to applied computer science, physics, or a comparable field
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, especially in Python
  • Proficient in Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib
  • Familiarity with SQL and JSON
  • Quick code reading ability and knowledge of GIT is advantageous
  • Reliable, independent, and structured work methodology
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English
