About the role: If you have a strong background in mathematics, theory, and software development and are interested in directly contributing to the evolution of the next generation of autonomy algorithms and implementing them in actual products, we would love to hear from you. We are seeking interns for our Summer program. You will be teamed up with one or more members of our central software development team, assuming direct ownership of a project that significantly enhances the capabilities of our planning and controls and product engineering teams. How you'll make an impact: - Enable swift research and development of intelligent systems with advanced autonomous capabilities beyond anything presently existing in the world - Research, prototype, and generally evaluate the feasibility of new methods - Envision and execute new features that bring magic to our users - Characterize and quantify the performance of core aspects of the software and hardware stack What makes you a good fit: - Demonstrated passion for one or more of the following areas: motion planning, dynamics and controls, 3D graphics, computer vision, deep learning, distributed systems, tools/infrastructure, mobile - Solid software engineering foundations and a commitment to creating clean, well-architectured code - High proficiency in C++ and/or Python - Ability to thrive in a rapidly moving, collaborative, small team environment Compensation Range: The hourly rate for this role is $41/hr for Undergrads and $53/hr for Graduate students. Compensation will differ based on factors such as skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. *For some positions, the pay may vary depending on the individual's regional location.
