Your role will include: - Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of Engineers and Research Scientists using an AI-centric approach to facilitate safe self-driving on a large scale. - Specifying and outlining vehicle behavior by utilizing Waabi's cutting-edge self-driving technology. - Establishing system level requirements for the capabilities of autonomous vehicle, monitoring system performance using relevant performance metrics, and instigating improvements across teams. - Steering high-level software architecture, design tradeoff studies, and decisions. - Collaborating with the simulation team to outline tests, represent testing tooling needs, and enhance scenario realism. - Developing and refining workflows that simplify capability development, testing, and vehicle lifecycle. - Promoting Waabi's safety culture by applying safety standards and methodology. Qualifications: - Undergrad/Master’s degree in an engineering discipline. - 5+ years of experience in automotive, robotics, aerospace or a related industry. - Previous involvement with systems engineering, system test, automation and/or root-cause analysis in complex safety critical fields. - Familiarity with requirements management and relevant tools. - Understanding of standards such as ISO21448 or UL 4600. - Solid foundation in mathematics, engineering, and physics. - Excellent data analysis abilities with modern tools like Python or Matlab. - A collaborative team player with an open mind and willingness to assist others. - Enthusiasm for self-driving technologies, problem-solving, and innovation. The annual salary range for this role in the US is: $130,000 - $236,000 USD along with competitive perks and benefits. Waabi (US) Inc.'s yearly salary ranges are determined considering various factors in line with the Company’s compensation practices. The base salary range is indicative of the minimum and maximum target for new hires for this role across all US locations. The Company provides additional salary, including equity incentives and an annual performance bonus.
