The Business Data Science team at Figma collaborates closely with our sales, marketing, and finance teams to discover insights, influence decision-making, and apply a data-focused approach to business issues crucial to Figma's growth. Our work is diverse and continuously changing. As a team member, you will have the opportunity to address a broad range of technical problems from data engineering, analytics, experimentation, to machine learning. We are looking for data scientists with robust coding and statistics fundamentals and who are outstanding communicators with technical and non-technical audiences. What you'll do at Figma: - Work together with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Engineering to convert business questions into data problems - Evaluate experiments to measure the impact of new initiatives - Develop and highlight metrics to guide decision making - Express and document data logging and requirements - Construct models to comprehend user behavior and predict growth - Provide thoughtful feedback to other team members In your first few months, you'll: - Collaborate with an onboarding buddy to make your first changes to our data tables and dashboards - Begin to build extensive understanding and expertise in Figma's data and product - Deliver your first analysis We would like to hear from you if you have: - A strong foundation in statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or other quantitative field - Knowledge in R, Python, or similar scripting language - Solid understanding of statistical methods and models - A proactive approach along with robust communication and collaboration skills At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. If based in Figma's San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has an annual base salary range as stated below. Job level and actual compensation will be determined by various factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications evaluated during the interview process, market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is merely a guideline and may be adjusted. For roles that can be performed remotely, the pay range is localized according to the employee's work location, ranging from 80% to 100% of the range. Please discuss your specific work location with your recruiter for more information. - Annual Base Salary Range (SF/NY Hub): $140,000 - $140,000 USD Figma offers equity to employees, as well a competitive benefits package, including health, dental and vision insurance, retirement with company contribution, parental leave and support for reproductive or family planning, mental health and wellness benefits, generous paid time off, company recharge days, a learning and development stipend, a work from home stipend, and cell phone reimbursement.
