Since its inception in 2008, Ubisoft Singapore has grown to become the largest AAA game development studio in Southeast Asia, accommodating over 500 talents from more than 35 nationalities focused on delivering ambitious gaming experiences. Job Description

As a Data Analyst, you will act as an advisor assisting various stakeholders in understanding hidden trends, identifying opportunities, and making strategic business decisions concerning our games. We need you to master the art of gathering and interpreting data to solve intricate problems, effectively communicating your findings.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In three months:

  • You will be acquainted with the services, tools, and processes used to gather in-game data.
  • You will have comprehensive knowledge of business metrics for AAA games.
  • You will understand the ETL processes employed to derive in-game metrics.
  • You will be able to explain our data pipelines to other team members

In six months:

  • You will have established solid relations with key stakeholders and worked closely with designers implementing data tracking in the game.
  • You will have implemented new tracking events and their ETL pipelines
  • You will have added value by implementing metrics and analyzing data
  • You will have contributed to the game's reporting platform with insights and new modules.

In twelve months:

  • You will have carried out and reported analyses, providing insights, both contributing towards enhancing in-game features.
  • You will have gained all the necessary skills to support the data tracking and analysis of a live game

After this period, you will be able to:

  • Design and implement data tracking in the game.
  • Derive insights and prepare reports to aid designers' decisions.
  • Collaborate with the player knowledge team to comprehend player behavior and motivations.
  • Maintain an effective work relationship with game designers and producers.
  • Assert a thorough understanding of Ubisoft's data ecosystems.
  • Become a representative of the studio's data culture program.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Experience in marketing analytics and business analytics.
  • Strong background in a technical field: Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or Economics.
  • Interest in data technologies and statistics in general.
  • Adept at manipulating complex data, extracting insights, and presenting results to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Culturally adaptable and enjoy interaction and communication with teams across different countries

Desired:

  • Hands-on experience in analyzing a wide range of digital data (web, social, etc.)
  • Interest in data science

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Essential:

  • Good understanding of Data Warehouses.
  • Proficient in writing intricate SQL queries.
  • Sound understanding of visualization and reporting tools.
  • Experience in Statistical Modelling.
  • Basic knowledge of Python

Desired:

  • Work experience with Hadoop ecosystem.
  • Prior projects with Tableau.
  • Software engineering skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Python.
  • Contributions to data science projects
