Pogust Goodhead is outlining a Centre of Excellence to serve as a dedicated department within the company, centered on improving project management practices, controlling scope, and refining business processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. As part of this, we are currently looking for an experienced data architect to guide our organization. The ideal candidate will be skilled in formulating the organizational data strategy, including maintaining high standards of data quality, managing data flow within the organization, and ensuring data security. They will translate business requirements into technical specifications, provide a standard business vocabulary, express strategic requirements, outline high-level integrated designs to meet those requirements and align with the enterprise strategy and associated business architecture. Role & responsibilities and core competencies: - Creating and implementing a comprehensive organizational data strategy that aligns with business processes, encompasses data model designs, database development standards, managing data warehouses, and data analytics systems. - Identifying internal and external data sources and devising a data management plan that aligns with the organizational data strategy. - Collaborating and coordinating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors for the smooth operation of the enterprise data system. - Overseeing end-to-end data architecture, developing technical architecture, application development, testing, and implementing the proposed solution. - Defining and managing data flow and information dissemination within the organization. - Integrating technical functionality, ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security. - Conducting regular audits of data management system performance, refining whenever necessary, and promptly reporting any breaches or loopholes to stakeholders. What you’ll bring to Pogust Goodhead: - A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or Computer Science. - Knowledge of systems development, including system development life cycle, project management approaches, and requirements, design, and testing techniques. - Salesforce Certification as a Data Architect and/or Sharing and Visibility Architect. - Salesforce Certification as an Integration Architect and/or Advanced Administrator (optional). - AWS Certification in Database Specialty and/or Data Analytics. - Experience in PostgreSQL. - Proficiency in data modeling, design, SQL development, and database administration. - Understanding of predictive modeling, NLP and text analysis, Machine Learning. - Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies. - Data mining, visualization, and Machine Learning skills. - Effective communication, team management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
