In Caylent, a Data Architect is a key member of a cross-functional delivery team tasked with implementing data management solutions on the AWS cloud for our clients. You will be responsible for designing and documenting the data architecture, data transformations, and warehouse schemas, and will provide guidance to the engineers tasked with the hands-on implementation of your designs. You will participate in daily standup meetings with your team and bi-weekly Agile ceremonies with the client. Your manager will hold weekly 1:1 meetings with you to provide career guidance and to optimize your experience at Caylent. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with a team to deliver top-quality data solutions on AWS for clients - Participating in daily standup meetings and resolving technical issues - Designing, optimizing and migrating relational databases - Providing leadership to engineers without direct supervision. Your qualifications should include: - Designing and implementing at least two of the following: ETL, orchestration and CI/CD pipelines; SQL databases, stored procedures and query optimization; analytics and visualization; MDM and data governance. - Designing and implementing at least two of the following on AWS: high availability solutions, read/write replicas and optimization; RDS and Aurora performance tuning; large-scale application migration and modernization focusing on DB; security, access controls and governance in the cloud. - Expertise in understanding data warehouses, RDBMSs like Redshift, Snowflake, Postgres, MySQL. - Experience with IaC tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform, and CI/CD tools. - Experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, SDK. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
