Arcadia is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Value-Based Care Data Services team. This crucial role involves aiding in the development and support of internal, automated processes and aiding in driving increased efficiencies. You will work closely with end-users from various areas, subject matter experts, and senior data engineers to conduct root cause analysis on reported technical issues and to develop new enhancements and necessary features.
As a Data Engineer, you are expected to be experienced and comfortable in supporting internal business processes and reporting as well as improving automated processes across a wide range of use cases.
What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Understand the technical environment, the core databases, and the processes we support
In 6 monthss
- Independently working to identify root cause issues and programming enhancements
In 12 months
- Independently responsible for entire processes, including processes and reports you build in collaboration with users from other areas
What You'll Be Doing
- Support, maintain, and assist in building reports and/or automated processes
- Triage, diagnose, and investigate reported issues
- Work closely with Senior Data Engineers to recognize and improve processes and reports
- Partake in requirements collection, analysis, definition, and documentation activities
- Learn something new every day and have a real impact on business users
- Document technical processes and communicate with individuals of various technical levels
What You'll Need to Have
- 3+ years SQL database programming experience in a fast-paced environment with flexible project requirements
- 1-3 years of experience developing in C#, , or Python
- Experience in the healthcare industry is a major advantage
- Experience with SSRS and SSIS is useful
- Experience with coding standards, version control, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
- Experience in delving into and understanding complex problems with limited information and/or guidance
- Excellent communication skills and enjoyment in working hands-on with end-users directly to assist them in being more effective
Would Love for You to Have
- A Bachelor’s Degree (Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or another analytical discipline), or equivalent experience
- Deep understanding of healthcare concepts (i.e., claims, eligibility, providers, members, diagnosis codes)
- Exposure or familiarity with EDI X12 electronic data file formats
- Experience in building end-to-end data-based processes and reports with loose requirements
