We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to collaborate with our Data Science and Data Infrastructure teams to own and improve our data pipelines. You will also liaise closely with stakeholders across business areas including sales, marketing, and finance to ensure they receive the data they need promptly and reliably. You'll play a vital role in developing the metrics and self-serve reporting capabilities to ignite Figma’s next stage of growth. This position is well-suited for someone who has a passion for working with data and data systems and loves solving problems. You'll have a sense of when to create quick, practical solutions to facilitate a critical stakeholder versus when to push back or engage an external service. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator capable of coordinating across numerous internal and external teams and take pride in bringing projects to completion. What You'll Be Doing: - Own, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines that connect various cloud data sources. - Develop a comprehensive understanding of Figma’s core data models and optimize data pipelines for scalability. - Partner with the Data Science and Data Infrastructure teams to build new foundational data sets that are trustworthy, well understood, and enable self-service. - Engage with a broad spectrum of cross-functional stakeholders to develop solutions to meet their data needs. - Establish best practices for the development of specialized data sets for analytics and modeling.
