The Finance Data & Insights (FiDi) team at Spotify offers assistance to Finance & Accounting teams via data insights, automation solutions, and custom reporting. We help to convey technical and business requirements between internal and external stakeholders and act as experts on Finance data. This role specifically aids music, audiobooks, licensing, and premium revenue analytics.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team of data analysts, engineers, and finance partners to preserve and enhance systems and processes that support precise financial reporting and facilitate strategic business decisions for Spotify.
- Gain subject matter expertise in Spotify royalty calculation, data pipelines, and accounting systems.
- Handle large data sets and solve complicated issues in a quick-paced and dynamic environment.
- Partner with Finance team members to dictate requirements for custom data analysis and tests of new implementations.
- Encourage process efficiencies via automation and the creation of data pipelines to enable self-service reporting and analytics for different teams within Finance.
- Operate in an atmosphere amongst extremely motivated individuals who are passionate about Spotify’s success.
Who You Are:
- You possess at least 2+ years of experience in data analytics.
- You are passionate about addressing complex problems through data analysis, complemented by strong business and financial acumen.
- You have the capacity to communicate with both technical and non-technical teams to comprehend and define problems and articulate proposed solutions.
- You have an eye for trends and can draw meaningful conclusions that influence strategic business decisions.
- You hold a degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics or another quantitative field.
- You possess the technical competence to perform advanced analytics over large data sets with experience in Python, SQL and/or other analytic tools (e.g. Pandas, R, SPSS, Bigquery, SAS) and visualization packages (e.g. Tableau, Streamlit, D3).
Where You'll Be:
- This role will be based in the New York Office.
The US base range for this position is $86,691 - 123,844, plus equity. The benefits available for this role include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, monthly meal allowance, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave. These ranges may be modified in the future.
