Founded in September 2017, Ubisoft Bordeaux works passionately on some of the largest AAAA games to provide the best gaming experiences. Today, the studio has more than 440 talents, representing 22 different nationalities, who are working on games and franchises such as Assassin’s Creed Valhala, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Beyond Good & Evil 2, as well as other unannounced free-to-play games. We also work on exciting technologies with Anvil teams, Online Services, and La Forge, which seeks to validate the value of technological innovations.

Anvil

Ubisoft Bordeaux studio is looking for a Data Scientist (M/F/D) to join the Anvil team, working on the eponymous game engine developed in-house by Ubisoft and used in all our studios to create video games that are the company's most emblematic. By joining Anvil, you can work closely with multiple production teams and contribute to the game engine with the most powerful services and tools in the market.

Job Description

Your main tasks will be:

  • To apply data science methods within the Anvil team on technical performance issues, automatic testing via bots, or any other tools/technologies that can increase the productivity and/or quality of the deliverables of the development teams
  • Propose suitable solutions to given problems:
    • Ad hoc analysis
    • Tool prototype
    • Algorithm development
  • Participate in research initiatives or machine learning application standardization by collaborating with different Ubisoft group entities

Qualifications

  • You have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • You have experience in at least 2 fields among NLP, Reinforcement Learning, computer vision, and recommendation systems
  • You have a good knowledge of different Machine Learning stacks
  • An interest in video games would be a plus
  • You are able to adapt your analyses and your speech to reach a broad audience
  • You demonstrate autonomy and curiosity
  • You have good team spirit
  • You have a very good level of English to be able to converse with international teams

This position is to be filled permanent contract.
