Job Description
Are you one of those who believe that learning doesn't stop, no matter how much experience one has? If so, we're on the same wavelength! Shall we talk about it?
In our Data & AI Workshop, we have communities of practice organized into tribes. The idea is to gather and share common expertise, to develop skills in human-sized teams. Your mission will thus be consulting, delivery, and R&D.
Being a Data Scientist at OCTO means:
1- Providing consultancy as much as delivery: assisting our clients in implementing solutions around the management and transformation of their data. Participating in agile development and implementing applications in accordance with best practices. And naturally, mentioning consultancy implies convictions: proposing the most suitable solution also means knowing and daring to challenge our clients (and that's in our DNA!)
2- Participating in tender responses and pre-sales
3- Actively participating in the “Data & AI” R&D: the program includes technological monitoring & good practice. What are some hot topics right now? Green AI, Green Data, and AI4Green 🌱
4- Training & mentoring: is knowledge-sharing and skill development important to you? We are convinced and loudly advocate the importance of transmission. Mentoring and career management will therefore be highlighted. Yes, at OCTO, knowledge is not a private preserve!
Qualifications
We promise to keep this short, but there are key skills you need to succeed with us:
1- A foundation of technical skills and significant experiences:
- One or more domains of Data Science (NLP, Computer Vision, Time Series)
- Open Source model environment (Hugging Face) and major deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, , etc.)
- Industrialization and monitoring of Machine Learning models
- One or more cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Agile methodologies and the basics of software craftsmanship (knowledge of DevOps or DataOps methodologies is a plus :) )
...last but not least: proficiency in English, both spoken and written :)
2- A range of interpersonal skills: a free-spirit capable of questioning and challenging ideas, and a strong affinity for teamwork and collective success.
