As a Data Analytics Manager, you'll be responsible for providing analytical insights not only to our tribe but also to the tribe's stakeholders across the entire SumUp organization. Utilizing your previous success record in a similar environment, you and your team will construct a roadmap and strategy, setting a vision for the Risk Analytics function and driving its execution, as per this vision. The Data Analytics Manager will lead a team of three Data Analysts, analyzing structured data from SumUp’s customers and transactions. The outcomes of these analyses will be used to advise the business, aiding the tribe’s data scientists and product teams by creating model-based decision strategies to generate "bottom-line" business benefits. This will be achieved through optimization of product offers and related experiences across all platforms. Key tasks include: - Driving and enhancing data-driven decision-making in risk and compliance - Understanding the business environment and product(s) - Understanding the evolving risk and compliance needs, both internally and externally - Facilitating data insights to assist operational teams in making the right decisions - Defining and analyzing datasets, constructing dashboards with key KPIs, metrics, and performance indicators - Developing strategies for efficient data analysis, reporting, and insights - Serving as a liaison between product, business, and data science teams to ensure that business requirements are understood and prioritized accordingly - Providing thought leadership on how we present and use data and how we can improve - Raising awareness of the Risk & Compliance tribes’ performance across the organization Required qualifications: - 5+ years of full-time work experience in analytics engineering or a comparable area - At least 1 year of people management experience - Experience in working with Data warehouse and building data pipelines. Expert-level data modeling skills and knowledge of data warehouse concepts - Familiarity with DBT and Airflow or comparable tools for construction of analytical models - Proficiency in both Python and SQL - Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar tools - Previous Fraud & Risk experience (highly desirable) - Proficiency in modern data architecture and confidence in handling large datasets - Passion for analytics, data modeling, and ETLs - Experience in using Tableau Online, Looker, or similar visualization/business intelligence platforms - Data-informed decision making - Clear and efficient means of communication, coupled with evident enthusiasm for taks of leading a team and fostering their growth Sumup's culture: - A truly global team - Full autonomy to suggest, lead, and implement changes - Freedom to drive your career, lead projects, and make an impact across the company - A passionate team and work environment, working tirelessly to achieve staggering results - Regular breakfasts, team events, office parties, and sports gatherings Additional Information: - Start date: As soon as possible - Job Type: Full Time - Work office location(s): Berlin - Hybrid working: Yes - 2 / 3 days in office About SumUp: We believe in the everyday hero.
