Who You Are:
We're looking for people filled with ambition and significant drive! We need problem solvers, initiative takers, people who identify opportunities and the potential for improvement. You should be passionate about your job and enjoy a fast-paced international working environment. Within Klarna, you'll have an important role in taking us to the next level - you should be eager to exceed your limits to deliver and grow as an individual. At Klarna, we embrace change, you should dare to challenge the status quo and persistently do so.
The Team:
Central Data is one of five teams within the Data and Analytics Hub (part of the Personalized CRM domain). We provide infrastructure to other Analytics teams; mainly within but also across domains. Our mission is to increase user engagement by delivering the right message to the right customer at the right time through the right channel.
Our team ensures we have all the necessary infrastructure in the Lakehouse to fulfill our mission. We own and maintain most of the data pipelines that transform massive data sets into a more manageable format. The data covers all markets and products.
We are an enabling team, aiming to facilitate other Analysts to access all this data. Their usage and purpose vary significantly; they range from Business insights (Analytics) to Customer segmentation (Marketing) and Reporting. The complex data landscape that results from these variations ensures that our problem space never gets boring!
You’ll be part of a team consisting of five Analysts and one Data Engineer.
Responsibilities:
Gathering cross-team requirements and designing efficient data pipelines to solve a business problem. Creating and maintaining jobs in Airflow that run scheduled queries while ensuring performance requirements are met. Building data transformations and working closely with transforming business logic. Acting as a point of contact for less technically inclined stakeholders regarding how to best utilize our tables and schemas. Collaborating with data engineers to refine pipelines, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and easily interpretable. Advocating for our centralized solutions to other Analysts to drive adoption. Writing and maintaining documentation on how we generate our data.
You should have:
Interest in complex data structures. Strong SQL skills and experience working with large data sets. Ability to translate complicated queries into English. Three-plus years of work experience. A degree from a university in a numerical subject (e.g., Economics, Science, Engineering or Business). Previous experience with git or Redshift is a plus.
What we offer:
Diversity & Community. With our skill diversity, perspectives, and backgrounds, we can innovate, create, and disrupt like no other. Diversity is a fundamental part of us and vital to our success.
Ownership & Impact. Here, every voice holds value. We are organized into hundreds of small teams, each run like a start-up and focused on their separate problem-space.
Trust & Collaboration. We share successes and failures together at Klarna in a blend of teams. We win, we lose, and we learn on this trajectory together.
If you are passionate about what you do, you should adore where you work. We acknowledge that everyone is different and has their own work preferences. We genuinely believe in the power of regular face-to-face interactions in consolidating strong team connections, but we also recognize that people can work effectively remotely. Consequently, a blend of both is our key to success.
At Klarna, you can choose to work from the office, adopting a hybrid model within your employment country, or you can work remotely for up to 20 working days per year. Flex it up!
Challenges & Rewards. We offer a very Swedish approach to benefits. From parental support, health and wellness perks-we've got you covered.
