Role Summary:
The Data Platform team at Aeva is tasked with maintaining and developing comprehensive data solutions that provide critical insights affecting operational and strategic functions. As a Manufacturing Operations Data Analyst, you will have a pivotal role in interfacing between the data team and various functional stakeholders and leadership. Your task is to consistently provide data-driven insights. In this 'hands-on' role, your duties will include deriving business metrics, creating dashboards and reports, responding to business inquiries, and ensuring key management reports are available and accurate.
What you'll be doing:
- Translate business metrics into SQL queries and data models.
- Implement dashboards and reports consumed daily by different teams throughout the company.
- Act as an acknowledged authority concerning all data models, reports, dashboards, and reporting techniques.
- Perform root cause analysis on internal processes and data to identify improvement opportunities and answer stakeholder inquiries.
- Carry out exploratory data analysis to assist engineering teams in identifying improvement opportunities related to the company’s products.
- Communicate and document your work clearly, serving both to guide stakeholder usage and to keep data team resources up-to-date.
What you'll have:
- Proficiency with SQL, ability to write complex analytical queries and optimize for performance.
- Experience working with cloud data warehouses.
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools, ability to create insightful dashboards and reports that cater to various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Python.
- Excellent collaboration skills and strategic thinking for current projects and future developments.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, knowledge of manufacturing KPIs and general production line operations.
- Ability to apply statistical methods to detect trends, anomalies, and forecast future scenarios.
- A high value in the quality of your deliverables and ability to drive standards and best practices for the team.
Nice to have:
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
- Domain Knowledge: Experience or familiarity in lidar technology or similar high-tech manufacturing.
- Experience with real-time data processing for live monitoring of the manufacturing line.
