As a Senior Data Engineer - Privacy at ClassDojo, you'll play a crucial role in advancing data privacy practices. You'll work closely with legal, compliance, and data governance experts to ensure rigorous data privacy controls for student, teacher, and parent data. Your expertise will aid in the development and implementation of key privacy measures, ensuring the protection of sensitive educational data. Apart from enhancing our compliance with data privacy regimes, your work will help to reduce the potential for data breaches and associated fines. You'll streamline privacy workflows, automate processes, and create data anonymization pipelines, enabling efficient data handling. By developing a comprehensive data catalog and metadata management system, you'll strengthen our data governance efforts and help maintain a compliant data landscape in the realm of edtech. To be a good fit for this role, you should have more than 7 years of experience with data/analytics engineering, understanding of data governance principles, excellent collaboration and communication skills, strong SQL and data querying abilities, and experience with data modeling, data transformation, and ETL processes. Experience in high-growth tech startups, auditable privacy-focused data products, and data privacy regulations would be a bonus.
