We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to work cross-functionally as needed, and lead early-stage product and technology development with a high degree of independence and at a fast pace.

If you're excited about working at the cutting edge of technology, and want to advance your career with a rapidly growing, impact-driven company, please read on…

In this role, you will:

  • Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field of generative AI, identify opportunities for their practical application within our software solutions, and actively share your knowledge with the wider team and organization.
  • Conduct experiments and directly engage with customers to understand their needs and which use cases best address them.
  • Develop and scale new AI-based products that directly benefit our customers.
  • Develop and maintain efficient, clean, and modular codebase for generative AI applications, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Work with the CloudOps team to deploy and maintain generative AI models in production environments, ensuring their high availability and reliability.
  • Carry out thorough testing and debugging of what you build, addressing any issues or bugs promptly.
  • Collaborate with teams and stakeholders across Rewind to help them deliver value to customers in new and exciting ways.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers on the team and across the organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with at least 5+ years of full-stack software development experience, building web-based software products. You are able to delve into any aspect of an application, from user interface to backend scalability. You have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Rewind is built on Ruby on Rails, React, Typescript, and AWS.

Your other skills include:

  • Building applications (either personal projects or professional ones) using LLM APIs, or frameworks like OpenAI or Google Vertex AI. Bonus: You have knowledge of machine learning.
  • Adeptness at working in ambiguous situations, and using customer feedback to create and iterate on prototypes quickly. You enjoy the freedom of making on-the-fly design and architecture decisions, and can defend your decisions.
  • A desire to step outside of your engineering role to understand why decisions are made. You are able to articulate technical trade-offs, and propose solutions that balance value and speed of delivery. You often actively suggest improvements on how software and systems should function based on customer feedback and are not afraid to voice your ideas.
  • Being an advocate for your ideas and enjoying interactions with other engineers and non-engineers alike. You are constantly seeking ways to improve team processes, reduce bugs, and lower technical debt.
  • Having the capability to communicate complex technical topics in a clear and approachable manner.
  • The ability and interest in mentoring other engineers on developing a product-centered mindset as well.
  • Spending most of your time coding, but also engaging in discussions with customers and being driven by their needs. You contribute to design and product strategy discussions with the wider team, and understand that you all share the same end goal - building the best product for our users.
  • At Rewind, our values dictate how we work together and how we think about our customers. Our values foster trust and effective collaboration. You recognize how our values can facilitate meaningful work, you thrive in a team-oriented environment, you are keen to continue learning, and you are excited to be part of our team.
