PitchBook’s 2024 Data Operations Summer Intern, will work to ensure that our data is comprehensive, accurate and timely. The intern will use our in-house developed Research Tool Suite (RTS), Excel, and other tools to help the team build quality while increasing efficiency and productivity. The intern will work with teams across Data Operations Department. Primary Job Responsibilities: - Research and gather information related to private equity and venture capital industries - Gather and verify information through web research and manage the same in our research database - Use our in-house database, business intelligence reports, and other technology-based tools to audit and add proprietary data to the PitchBook Platform efficiently - Develop research tracking methodologies to ensure data quality - Regularly collaborate with the data operations team to learn about different datasets and assist with various data quality initiatives - Communicate effectively and efficiently with your team and other stakeholders - Participate in a Career Readiness program to develop fundamental skills important for early-career employees - Model and encourage desired behaviors in line with the vision and values of the company - Participate in various company initiatives and projects as requested Skills and Qualifications: - Enjoy working with numbers and large data sets - Appreciate well-thought-out processes and take initiative to further improve them - Enjoy teamwork as well as independent work - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Detail-oriented, curious, and innovative - Interested in the private equity, venture capital and M&A industries - Might be pursuing a 4-year college degree, possibly in finance and/or economics - Ability to work 40 hours a week from June-August 2024 - Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, with an ability to learn new systems and software easily To qualify for the intern position, applicants must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States upon hire. We won't consider candidates who require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future.
