We provide smart energy, low carbon solutions for our customers and have developed a strong affinity for heat pumps. These offer an ultra-efficient, dependable substitute for harmful gas boilers contributing to 14% of the UK's CO2 emissions.
We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our heat pump sales team, collaborating with our Sales Leadership Team to deliver insightful data critical for our competitive advantage. This role can be based in either our Brighton or Manchester office.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Being a key part of our high-performing sales team, driving and monitoring business performance through a stringent data-based approach, interpreting KPIs, and providing executive recommendations.
- Supporting our sales leaders with Sales performance management, guiding intelligent growth and customer acquisition strategies, pipeline analysis, and sales dashboard optimization.
- Promoting enhancements in our sales process, assessing campaign effectiveness, and working cross-functionally to establish reporting and process standards.
- Your outputs will vary from solid analytic models, personalized performance analysis and the arrangement of findings into decision-ready insights.
- You will develop tools that will be 'self-serve' for team members with frequently asked questions.
- You will also set the agenda and spearhead improvements in how Octopus accesses, stores, interprets, displays, and uses data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in an analytical discipline such as engineering, science, economics, or computer science.
- Strong data analysis and logical reasoning skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven self-starter behavior: Curious, innovative, problem-solving, and independent.
- Skilled in Excel, Hubspot (or other Sales CRM) and the ability to create and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Tableau.
- A high level of data literacy and numeracy skills.
- The ability to make sense of lots of data and shape it into a coherent narrative.
- Beneficial (but not mandatory) to also have experience in Low Carbon Technologies such as Heat Pumps and Solar Panels.
