Job Description
We are currently seeking a Data Scientist to join our team, with a mission to turn data into knowledge and enable digitization across all fields of business.
As a Data Scientist, you will design, develop, and operate solutions that integrate data, process it, and consume it via AI or data science algorithms on-premise, Big Data or cloud-based platforms. Our projects can range from complex reporting tools, data pipelines for data acquisitions from electronic control units in cars or sensors in wearables, to full-stack AI applications like automated optical inspection, event detection. In your role, you will:
- Develop and apply statistical, data mining, machine learning, and AI algorithms.
- Create data products for use cases from different domains from computer vision to product development in the area of Industry 4.0 and IoT.
- Work with a wide variety of data sources: from databases, log files to sensor event streams, or images.
- Develop and maintain data mining solution libraries, data visualizations, and analytics results.
- Actively participate and take responsibility in each phase of the CRISP-DM cycle.
- Work in a multi-cultural distributed team.
- Take part in the development and use of leading-edge technologies.
Technology Stack
- Python, PySpark, and SQL.
- RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
- Data visualization: Tableau, Shiny, Mat, etc.
- Databricks/Azure.
- Hadoop.
Qualifications
- Technical degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) or comparable.
- Strong background in statistics, data mining, machine learning, and AI.
- Experience with Python and SQL.
- Familiar with Database management and handling (RDBMS: Oracle, SQL Server, etc).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Shiny, etc).
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with ETL procedures.
- Passionate about data mining with an engineering mindset.
- Good communication, strong analytical skills, team oriented, initiative, perseverance, and attention to detail.
Nice to have:
- Understanding of the design and architecture of big data applications and experience with Hadoop ecosystems.
- Project experience in the development and operation of complex data architectures.
- Experience in computer vision, image processing, or deep learning.
- Familiarity with software documentation, tracking (ex: Jira), and versioning tools.
