As a Data Scientist, you will apply scientific methods, algorithms, and systems to extract valuable insights and knowledge from both structured and unstructured data at Tokopedia. You will play a major role in analyzing large volumes of complex data to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that can aid organizations in making data-driven decisions and solving problems.
What will you do
- Perform tasks such as data exploration, cleaning, and feature engineering
- Conduct research into state-of-the-art algorithms from research papers under the guidance of lead data scientists
- Implement data science algorithms from research papers under the guidance of lead data scientists
- Develop APIs from data science models
- Collaborate with members from the data science team and other teams to develop data science solutions
What you will need
- A Bachelor's degree in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
- Experience with data science through relevant projects, courses, or competitions
- Hands-on experience with Python - Pandas, Numpy, Scikit learn SQL
- Experience with machine learning models like random forests, gradient-boosted trees, or neural networks
- Knowledge in at least one of the following areas is a plus: Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Information Retrieval - Search & Recommendations, Fraud detection, Time-series analysis and modeling, Cloud computing for ML.
