The role of a QA/Test and Data Analyst is to ensure the quality and accuracy of data used in various systems and applications. Their responsibilities include analyzing data, identifying anomalies, and verifying data integrity. The QA/Test and Data Analysts collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements, develop testing methodologies, and implement data quality checks. Their role is critical in ensuring data consistency, reliability, and adherence to data standards, ultimately supporting informed decision-making and reliable data-driven insights for the organization.

Reporting to the QA/Test Manager for D365, you will be essential in working in the program from the initial setup through to delivery and across future market deployments and platform updates (a minimum of 2 mandated per year).

What you'll be doing:

The key responsibilities of the D365 QA/Test and Data Analyst include:

  • Ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 system.
  • Conducting data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies within the D365 data to provide valuable insights to stakeholders.
  • Designing and executing data validation tests to ensure the integrity and reliability of data used in D365 processes.
  • Assisting in data migration efforts, validating data mappings, and ensuring successful data transfers into D365.
  • Developing test plans and test scenarios specific to data validations and data-driven functionalities in D365.
  • Conducting data-centric testing, verifying data transformations, and validating data-driven functionalities in D365.
  • Identifying and documenting data-related defects, and working with the development team to resolve issues.
  • Creating data visualizations and reports to present data analysis findings to stakeholders.
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of data validations, test results, and data analysis reports.
  • Working closely with other team members, such as QA testers, developers, and business analysts, to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Ensuring compliance with data governance policies and data privacy regulations within the D365 environment.
  • Identifying and recommending data cleaning processes to maintain data quality.
  • Participating in data transformation efforts to align data with business requirements and standards.
  • Utilizing data mining techniques to extract meaningful information and support business decision-making.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve data quality, testing processes, and data analysis methodologies.
  • Working with business stakeholders to construct test and meta data to support test case execution.
  • Demonstrating experience in testing integrations across various implementation methods including but not limited to batch, real-time, overnight, message queues, API, WebServices.
