Team:
Relativity's accounting team is responsible for the organization’s financial integrity. Our functions include general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, financial reporting and analytics, audit, tax and compliance, accounts receivable, credit, and cost accounting. We collect and maintain the company’s financial activities in accordance with US GAAP, enabling us to provide accurate and timely financial reports, as well as automated dashboards for strategic planning and decision-making purposes to management, investors, and other stakeholders. This empowers our company to make smart business decisions as we march towards a multiplanetary future.
What you'll do:
You will be working closely with key internal business stakeholders such as FP&A, and Supply Chain teams to understand their reporting needs and help shape a short-term roadmap. You will strategize data modeling solutions to meet reporting requirements set by stakeholders. Overseeing the development of data models and dashboards by internal teams to meet proposed timelines will require a hands-on approach in the short term, but will progressively become more strategy-focused.
Your duties will include taking full ownership of dashboarding projects. This means translating business requirements into technical requirements, creating data models, assessing data quality, designing dashboards, and monitoring performance. You will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of data schemas from disparate data sources and writing complex SQL queries to build new data models. You will also ensure any new data models are thoroughly tested for accuracy prior to release.
In addition, you will design and build dashboards in Tableau to support various teams and leadership, recommend new metrics, strategies and techniques to improve dashboards and analyses, identify data quality issues and work with the internal team to resolve these. Also, you will assist in creating standards for data modeling and dashboarding across the team, documenting data models, defining metrics, and training end users for successful dashboard adoption.
You will also track, escalate, and manage dashboard issues through resolution, partner with the EAS team to develop a data governance structure, analyze and suggest process improvements in accounting systems to satisfy data needs, and take on special projects as assigned by management. This role will be part of our Accounting Analytics team reporting to the Manager of Accounting Analytics.
What you need to know:
You should hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, data engineering or a relevant field. You should have 5+ years of experience data modeling and dashboarding with at least 1 year related to financial data, along with 3+ years of experience designing and creating visualizations in Tableau. You should have advanced skills in data visualization and data storytelling, expertise in SQL, experience working with ERP data, excellent leadership, communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills, and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice to haves but not required:
Experience with Infor LN is a plus, and experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries and 3+ years of experience in financial data modeling would be beneficial.

The salary range for this role is $99,000 to $127,000 USD. Please note that this range is based on Relativity Space’s current good-faith pay scale for the role, and the company reserves the right to modify or update this scale at any time.
