Senior Data Scientist, Operations Research

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Scientist (Operations Research) to join our team. You will be embedded among talented data scientists to develop and operate advanced models that tackle complex logistics and user experience issues. Collaborating with product managers, you will address high-value business challenges, design daily operational systems, and work with state-of-the-art technology. Close coordination with software engineers will ensure that your models are effectively integrated into Veho's production systems.

• Develop and implement models and algorithms to solve intricate problems using operations research, statistics, and machine learning technologies.
• Partner with functional areas (last mile, middle mile, ground operations, network planning) to create tools optimizing our network.
• Analyze current operations research solutions to derive insights and provide actionable recommendations.
• Implement improvements in operations research that influence metrics and optimize network operations.

• Master’s degree or PhD in operations research with 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying optimization, predictive, and machine learning models.
• Strong knowledge in operations research concepts such as linear (LP), nonlinear (NLP), mixed-integer programming (MIP), network optimization, and simulation.
• Experience with mathematical solvers like OR-Tools, CPLEX, Gurobi, Xpress, COIN-OR.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
