Job Description
Etsy is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Analytics team and collaborate with Product stakeholders to drive success and enhance the Etsy experience for buyers and sellers.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Manager, Product Analytics, with a base salary range of $130,000 -$168,000 USD per year. In addition to the salary, you will be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits supporting you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn office, either in-person or on a flexible schedule. Candidates living within commutable distance of the Brooklyn Hub will be the first to be considered. Etsy provides different work modes to meet the varying needs and preferences of our team.

What does the day-to-day look like?
You will work closely with managerial staff within the Product org to define Etsy’s strategy and vision. You will conduct analysis on buyer and seller behavior, design and analyze experiments, transform raw data into important analysis, improve internal analytics processes, raise the skill level within the analytics team, and handle other tasks that may come up.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have 4+ years of experience as a data scientist or data analyst during which have independently extracted insights from large datasets, deep understanding of experimentation theory and A/B test data statistical analysis, mastery of SQL, and experience with R/Python and other scripting/automation techniques. A curious mindset to drive creative problem-solving, business impact, and experience in an e-commerce setting are a plus.
