Job Description:
The Senior Pricing Data Analyst is tasked with data analysis and modelling to uncover insights that support data-driven decision making in areas of pricing, packaging, and commercial strategy. The role focuses on transforming raw data into actionable insights and utilising data-driven storytelling to influence commercial outcomes. A key aspect of the job includes the creation, monitoring, maintenance, and updating of different pricing metrics, reports, and dashboards to support continuously monetization and price improvement endeavors.
The role necessitates a mixture of analytics, business, and communication skills. Direct reports will be given to the Senior Director of Pricing and Packaging Strategy and the successful candidate will work closely with other cross-functional groups within Datasite.
We require applicants to have an authorized permit to work in the U.S. as we are not able to sponsor or take over an employment Visa sponsorship at the moment. This role is hybrid and we prefer the location to be in Minnesota or New York.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, cleanse, and organize business data from various sources with differing degrees of data integrity.
- Conduct illuminating analyses to identify informed insights from trends and irregularities to guide pricing, packaging, and commercial decisions.
- Perform analysis and modeling to sustain different price improvement initiatives.
- Create, update, and maintain pricing metrics to gauge pricing efficacy.
- Develop, maintain, and update dashboards, KPI tracking, and visualization/reporting regularly.
- Furnish weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports of pricing metrics, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
- Support varying analyses for pricing strategy-centered projects, including the launch of new products and features.
- Study customer expenditure trends and product usage to aid in pricing new products and developing contract structures.
- Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams such as Finance, Data Science, Operations, SF practice, Engineering.
- Contribute to presenting pricing analytics and reports to various internal stakeholders.
Education, Experience Requirements & Essential Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or comparable).
- 4+ years prior B2B (ideally SaaS) experience in an analytical business role, preferably in Pricing, Data Science, Finance, or Sales Ops.
- Advanced capability in Excel (nested formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS), pivots, and charting.
- Adequate competency in data handling, analysis, and visualization/BI tools (Excel, SQL, SF, CRM analytics, Power BI, Python, R).
- Proficient in the remainder of Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Upstanding analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to transform data into actionable recommendations.
- Detail-focused mindset with a dedication to data accuracy and integrity.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to simplify complex models.
- Ability to foster relationships and work cohesively in a dynamic, cross-functional setting.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, maintain accountability, and manage multiple projects.
