Job Description

This is a unique and interesting opportunity for an experienced technical architect to become Hitachi Solutions Germany's next Modern Data Platform Champion. Join us and become a valuable and important part of our growing Data & AI team: We are currently looking for a Technical Architect – Data & AI (m/f/d). The place of work can be chose among all our locations (Nuremberg/Braunschweig/Hamburg) or home office.

Technical architects are thought leaders in the field of demanding modern Azure data solutions and are responsible for their provision in collaboration with our team and our customers. The projects can range from short-term customer inquiries to multi-year engagements with large, international teams.

Within your responsibility are:

• Consulting and implementation of demanding Modern Data Platform projects for our national and international customers with a focus on Microsoft Azure;
• Implementation of specific technical concepts and optimal solution architectures;
• Supporting Lead Consultants in reviewing the functional and technical specifications for customers with high complexity and quality;
• Establishing long-term and trustworthy business relationships;
• Agile project work as a collaborative team practice;
• Personal commitment to staying up to date in terms of knowledge and sharing this in partnership with the project team or other colleagues from Hitachi Solutions;
• Critical analysis and technical further development of existing solutions in the areas of Data & AI, Data Warehousing and Data Engineering using modern Azure data solutions (including related technologies);
• Collaboration across other Microsoft technologies, like Power Platform or Microsoft Dynamics AX / D365 F&O;
• Being a valuable part and inspiration for the team to realize the full potential of colleagues.

Qualifications

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• Completed degree or equivalent qualification;
• Comprehensive practical experience in the design and development of complex Data & AI solutions and advanced technology solutions with Microsoft technologies;
• Practical experience in the following areas is required:
• SQL Data Warehouse or Azure Synapse
• Data/Delta Lake
• Streaming/Batch processing
• Knowledge of Azure is advantageous, including deployment, configuration and development of solutions with Azure DevOps Pipelines, ADLS, ADF, Databricks, etc.;
• Strength in communication, team orientation, good demeanor and passion for interacting with people;
• The ability to quickly propose solutions for (Azure-)data platforms by considering the latest best practices from MVP and product team articles, Microsoft/Databricks documentation, white papers and community publications;
• High self-motivation, personal responsibility and attention to detail;
• Familiar with modern semantic layers and reporting tools, e.g., SSAS Tabular, Power BI;
• Very good command of German and English, both spoken and written;
• Willingness to travel for business.
