Customer.io is looking for a Senior Product Designer to enhance our product design team. Join us in creating a platform that helps companies communicate authentically with their customers. You'll be part of a skilled, empowered, and distributed team of about 250 members across 17 countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and empathize with customers through research.
- Design proposals for new features and collaborate with engineers on prototypes.
- Advocate for customer experience during prioritization of work.
- Shape the design team's culture and processes, providing feedback to peers.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in product design within a software development environment.
- Experience with complex software products and grasp of technical constraints.
- Ability to approach problems from first principles and explore innovative solutions.
- Strong communication skills for articulating design decisions to stakeholders.
- Growth mindset, ready to receive and provide feedback.
- Comfort with autonomy, ownership, and navigating ambiguity.
- Proficient in asynchronous communication across time zones.
- Passion for simplifying complex functionality in designs.
Preferred Experience
- Background in B2B SaaS, especially with data and automation concepts.
- Ability to overlap work hours with the Americas (GMT-8 to GMT-5).
- Experience with design systems and interface components.
- Conducting user research and integrating insights into design decisions.
- Familiarity with Mixpanel, Amplitude, or Fullstory.
- Proficiency with Figma.

We offer a competitive starting salary of $140,000 - $186,000 USD, based on experience and market conditions. Specific salary ranges are assigned based on geographic labor indexes.
