The Job

As an AI/ML Engineer at QIMA, you will convert proof-of-concept AI/ML projects into full-production applications. Utilize your software development, data, and foundational AI/ML expertise to create robust, scalable solutions that enhance our services and drive QIMA towards further excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• AI/ML Solution Implementation: Collaborate with business leaders and data scientists to understand user needs and transition AI/ML prototypes into production-ready solutions.
• Full-Scale Model Deployment: Design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models and algorithms to tackle complex business challenges.
• Data Integration: Ensure efficient collection and integration of data from various sources for training and validating AI models.
• System Integration: Work with tech teams to seamlessly integrate AI/ML solutions into existing systems and enhance data collection processes.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize model performance to ensure responsiveness and scalability.
• Code Quality and Maintenance: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best software development practices.
• Process Improvement: Use AI/ML to identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to strategic projects aimed at enhancing business performance and competitiveness.
• Change Management and Adoption: Ensure the successful adoption of AI/ML solutions by managing organizational change, assisting with user training, and conducting post-implementation support.

Qualifications

The Candidate

Required Skills:

• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, with 3+ years of software development experience, including AI/ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Programming Skills: Proficiency in Python and relevant libraries (NumPy, Pandas, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras). Additional languages like Java, C++, or SQL are a plus.
• AI/ML Fundamentals: Basic understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, and model evaluation techniques.
• Data Handling: Expertise in data preprocessing and feature engineering.
• Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret complex datasets and derive actionable insights.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team and stakeholder collaboration.

Preferred Skills (not mandatory):

• Natural Language Processing (NLP): Experience with NLP, generative AI, and their applications.
• Computer Vision: Knowledge of computer vision techniques and applications.
• Quality Management: Experience in quality management, laboratory testing processes, supply chain management, or quality assurance.
