About the Role

As an Applied AI Research Scientist specializing in Computer Vision, you will:

• Lead and collaborate on ambitious projects within our global team, pushing forward the capabilities of intelligent machines.
• Conduct research focused on understanding the semantics of various datasets including images, video, text, and more.
• Set and achieve long-term goals, while establishing meaningful milestones that advance your field.
• Influence the broader research community through publications, contributing valuable advancements that could integrate with Meta's product development.
• Work on crafting advanced data-driven models to enhance our understanding of human behavior.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should have:

• A Ph.D. in AI, machine learning, computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in leading AI research in academic or industry settings.
• Strong foundations in both theoretical and empirical research methods.
• Proven ability to communicate complex research in a clear and concise manner to a public audience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C/C++, Python, or C#.

Preferred Qualifications

Ideal candidates would also have:

• Experience managing a team focused on modeling problems using AI/ML techniques.
• First-author credits in publications at esteemed AI conferences like NeurIPS, CVPR, ICML, and others.
• A history of driving innovative research in a team setting.
