About the Role
Our data team at InDebted is tasked with the creation of data science models, deriving BI insights and using other data-driven methodologies to accelerate our disruption of the traditional debt collection industry.
Thanks to the extensive datasets we've gathered through digital-first channels and other advances in our communication with customers, we achieve significantly better collections performance results compared to our industry counterparts.
As a member of our Research and Development team, you will collaborate with our Engineering, and Product teams to assist both our internal teams as well as clients.
Summary Description:
We lead the charge in revolutionizing our industry by leveraging machine learning and AI models, data-driven strategies, and cutting-edge technology to accelerate our disruption of the traditional debt collection sector. By utilizing rich datasets gathered through our digital-first communication channels and other innovative mechanisms, we are able to efficiently outperform our industry opponents.
We are seeking an Associate Data Scientist who can apply their expertise and skillset to contribute to our mission. You will join a team that employs data science and machine learning to tackle a variety of business challenges, significantly impacting our operational efficiency and growth. You will have the chance to learn from seasoned team members and influence key areas such as customer engagement and collection performance. You will see the direct impact of your work as your contributions will enhance our business operations and customer experience. It is anticipated that you will be involved in projects requiring support to develop solutions leveraging large language models.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and implement machine learning models or AI solutions to address business needs and enhance key success metrics.
- Explore, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets utilizing large datasets.
- Monitor and maintain deployed models to ensure continual high performance.
- Translate complex data science concepts into understandable insights to guide data-driven business decisions.
- Identify opportunities for, and spearhead, business value by applying state-of-the-art techniques in data science and machine learning.
Must Have:
- Bright, tech-oriented individual with passionate about data science and its application in business scenarios.
- Recent graduates or professionals with experience in Data Science or a similar role.
- Understanding of machine learning methods, including model development, deployment, and monitoring.
- Experience in Python and SQL (Snowflake & Athena).
- Interested in or have familiarity with cloud-based data technologies and services (preferably AWS).
- Experience or familiarity with data sourcing, processing, and manipulation.
- Strong communication skills.
Nice To Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Interested in or familiar with containerization technologies.
- Knowledge and experience with NLP/LLM and related toolkits.
