About the Role

We are on the lookout for an exceptional and self-motivated Backend Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. This is a remote role based in LATAM. The ideal candidate will take ownership of developing a new RAG LLM solution, from building data pipelines to managing performance analysis in a production environment. As a member of an early-stage startup, you will need to be versatile and thrive in a dynamic atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Developing complex backend services using Python, server-side logic, and APIs to ensure seamless communication.
• Utilizing models like GPT, OpenAI, Gemini, or similar to develop innovative solutions.
• Exploring and implementing RAG methodology to enhance the relevance and coherence of generated content.
• Designing, optimizing, and managing databases, with experience in both relational (PostgreSQL) and vector databases.
• Making architectural contributions to consistently improve software reliability and codebase maintainability.
• Implementing test-driven code using modern techniques.
• Following agile processes to deliver production-ready, testable code in small iterations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience primarily as a Python backend engineer.
• Proven expertise in Python with experience in frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Experience in API development, PostgreSQL, cloud computing, and data engineering.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with generative LLM fine-tuning and prompt engineering.
• Professional experience in designing, training, and deploying machine learning models is a plus.
• Regular contributions to popular open-source projects are a plus.
