Role: Business Data Analyst
As a Business Data Analyst, your main duty is to transform raw data into practical insights that guide strategic decision-making and enhance our business direction. You will closely cooperate with various teams to gather, examine, and report on business data, which will ultimately assist our organization in meeting its objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze business data from several sources such as databases, spreadsheets, and software systems to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
Operational Reporting: Create and maintain operational reports tailored to sales, success, and leadership teams, giving them direct access to data insights to support their decision-making.
Analytical Dashboards: Build interactive and insightful analytical dashboards using structured datasets, helping teams to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and make data-driven decisions.
Customer Trend Analysis: Identify, examine, and interpret customer trends to aid in refining our product offerings and marketing strategies, ensuring we effectively satisfy customer needs.
Data Technology Support: Collaborate with our technical teams to assist data technology projects, including data migrations, and guarantee alignment with our long-term Business Intelligence (BI) data strategy.
Product Strategy Insights: Work together with Marketing, Sales, Success, and other departments to assemble market and customer trends, providing valuable insights that influence our product roadmap.
Required Skills:
Domain Understanding: Have a solid understanding of our industry, business procedures, and customer behavior.
Education and Experience: Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field and have a minimum of 5 years of experience in business data analysis, reporting, and data visualization, preferably in the tech or similar sectors.
Data Proficiency: Show expertise in working with structured datasets and tools for analysis. Experience with Salesforce, Cumul, and PowerBI is beneficial.
Presentation Skills: Be skilled at presenting complex solutions and insights effectively to leadership and C-level executives.
Financial Acumen: Have the ability to read and interpret financial reports to draw meaningful insights.
