Amazon Web Services is seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented candidate to help build scalable, predictive, and prescriptive business analytics solutions that support the AWS Supply Chain and Procurement organization. You will be part of the Supply Chain Analytics team, collaborating with Global Stakeholders, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts to meet our objectives. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a blend of excellent analytical and technical abilities, business insight, and effective written and verbal communication skills. Data-driven decision-making is at the heart of Amazon's ethos. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in requirement and insight gathering, probing vast and diverse data sets, data visualization, writing complex SQL queries, creating rapid prototypes using Python/ R, and generating insights that assist senior leaders in critical business decision-making. The candidate should also be experienced in providing guidance and support to other engineers with industry best practices and direction, and be able to thrive in an environment of ambiguity. They should communicate clearly and effectively at all levels within the company, both in writing and during meetings, and be driven to deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities include: understanding a wide array of Amazon's data resources and processes; interfacing with Global Stakeholders, Data Engineers, and Business Analysts across time zones to gather requirements; demonstrating comprehensive technical knowledge on feature engineering of vast datasets; conducting in-depth analysis of business problems and formulating conclusions and recommendations; producing written recommendations and insights for key stakeholders; designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reliable analytical tools, dashboards, and metrics that influence key supply chain and procurement decisions; managing multiple projects simultaneously, dealing with ambiguity and shifting priorities. We are open to hiring candidates from the following locations: Bengaluru, KA, IND Basic Qualifications - 2+ years of experience analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc. - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, QuickSight, or similar tools - Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g., t-test, Chi-squared) - Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R) Preferred Qualifications - Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree - Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design - Experience with statistical analysis, correlation analysis
