Compensation: Includes a base salary of $97,100.00 - $161,800.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
Job Description
The Analytics and Enablement team at Cox Enterprises aims to deliver business value by championing the intelligent use of data and analytics for operational efficiency, innovation, community building, and problem-solving. As a Data Analysis Manager, you'll blend technical data wrangling, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving to effectively gather, analyze, and visualize data. Your work will support operational and strategic decisions across internal business functions.
You will collaborate with IT partners and business customers to gather data, define KPIs, understand performance metrics, highlight data-driven insights, and enhance presentations with data visualizations. We are looking for an analytical thinker with strong networking skills who can provide insightful findings and recommendations.
Roles & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Lead efforts to gather and analyze large amounts of data and translate findings into actionable insights.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on existing data pipeline processes and contribute to designing future state data pipelines using new technology.
- Interpret data to logically address identified business issues.
- Engage with business partners and data end-users to determine information requirements.
- Interface with clients to set expectations about data availability and anticipated analysis and reporting outcomes.
- Discover critical and relevant insights from a business analytics standpoint.
- Consult with business leaders to identify new reports, data, or analyses needed to support business decision-making.
- Simplify and standardize reports for use across the organization.
- Recommend improvements for Data Analysis tools, technologies, and methods.
- Develop robust QA processes to reduce error identification time, leading to increased speed of delivery on insights.
- Prioritize, escalate, and deliver work methodically.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Develop reports and visuals for executive presentations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish metrics and dashboards, using quantitative analysis for operational and strategic decisions.
- Maintain QA processes to monitor data for gaps or errors.
- Work with business owners/stakeholders to develop analytic methodologies that provide operational and strategic insights.
- Ensure data/reporting complies with Analytics Enablement reporting standards and Data Governance and Management policies.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for leveraging data and analysis to drive business decisions and create tangible value for stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 6 years of experience in a related field. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization.
- Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, and MS Office tools.
- Experience with developing and running custom queries for data analysis, cleaning large data sets, and identifying trends and patterns.
- Strong analytical, operational, and technical competency with a proven ability to present data and complex analyses.
- Ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.
- Ability to collaborate and function effectively with various teams and gain consensus.
- An aptitude for new technologies with strong flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments.
