Roles and Responsibilities: - Support business decisions by formulating hypotheses, structuring the problem, analyzing relevant data to verify hypotheses and preparing documentation to communicate the results with insights. - Monitor key metrics such as revenue, gross margin, item price, conversion, customer count, and so on. - Build templates and dashboards in Excel, Google Sheets, or PowerBI for operational and management reporting. - Analyze platform and category level metrics to isolate problems or strength areas to address or leverage. - Develop and implement strong reporting formats that provide a comprehensive view of the portfolio's health. - Utilize statistical and analytical models and methods for data analysis related to customer initiatives and growth strategies, including issue diagnosis, problem dissection, and tracking of results. - Extract data as per business requests for ad hoc analysis. - Work with departmental managers to outline the specific data needs for each business method analysis project. Qualifications & Experience: - An engineering degree from an accredited university or college. - At least 18 months of work experience as a Data Analyst or in a related analytics area. - Demonstrable experience in handling large data sets and relational databases (must be proficient in SQL). - High competency in written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, team environment and to interact effectively with all levels of management. - Results-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can work individually with minimal or no supervision. - Experience with advanced MS Excel, Python or R and SQL is required. - Key skills required: Statistics/Math Skills, MS Excel, Python or R, SQL, PowerBi (optional).
