Role Overview & Team Dynamics

As a vibrant member of our Data Engineering team, you will collaborate with proficient Data Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists. Our aim is to create state-of-the-art data products essential for the core features of our interactive gaming app. Your enthusiasm for data and experience in fields such as data engineering, software engineering, or machine learning will be a perfect match. A passion for professional sports, betting, and eSports will be highly regarded!

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Building and maintaining event-driven distributed systems for large-scale data processing and integration.
  • Developing streaming data pipelines and overseeing their implementation.
  • Working closely with our data science team to establish industry-leading SDLC and MLOps processes.
  • Deploying, orchestrating, and maintaining data science models.
  • Enhancing data platforms through strategic design and maintenance.
  • Supporting the team to set, track, and achieve Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
  • Expanding and maintaining various system architectures, tools, and infrastructures.

What We Look For

Required qualifications and skills:

  • A robust foundation in computer science, focusing on data structures, distributed systems, algorithms, and software design.
  • At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, machine learning, or similar roles.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with compiled languages such as Java, Go, or Elixir.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or other streaming platforms.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, and familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Thorough understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and CI/CD pipelines, particularly for Machine Learning projects.
  • Exceptional organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
