Job Description

This position involves supporting all data loading processes within the Data Management department as a team member. The role involves a solid understanding of all data loading principles and best practices, developing advanced data loading techniques, and enhancing process and procedure effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and implementing methods to enhance the efficiency of data loading, report quality, and accuracy.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends and patterns in complex data sets.
  • Suggesting areas that need processing improvements.
  • Assisting with operational issues when necessary.
  • Troubleshooting data loading mistakes and inconsistencies while adhering to established processes and procedures.
  • Engaging with data providers, both in writing and verbally, when validating submitted data or executing project work as needed.
  • Participating in daily meetings to review escalations, critical issues, and any impediments that hinder the performance of assigned duties.
  • Escalating appropriate matters to senior team members while taking ownership of the overall issue resolution.
  • Researching and reviewing reporting history before and during all work involving data providers.
  • Handling support calls directly from data providers and other in-house personnel as needed.
  • Enrolling in and successfully completing assigned training that falls within the role’s responsibilities.
  • Taking part in internal project and change acceptance testing as directed.
  • Providing suggestions in weekly change reviews and in areas that require processing or procedural improvements.

Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational database technology.
  • Intermediate skills in process management and project tracking.
  • Understanding of ETL.
  • Intermediate proficiency in using data analysis tools and report development (Tableau, Alteryx, Excel).
  • Intermediate know-how of MS Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Intermediate problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate organizational skills.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
