Position Overview

Experience Required: 3-5 years

As a Data Scientist with Anko, you'll independently design and develop data science solutions that enhance value for the Kmart Group. Your role will involve:

  • Collaborating with various business units to design and conduct experiments that underline the advantages enabled by data science.
  • Establishing best practices in information architecture, involving data collection, integration, organization, analysis, and visualization to create data-driven impacts.
  • Communicating significant findings to internal teams to drive business improvements.
  • Participating in data science practice development initiatives aimed at expanding knowledge and skills within the company.

Essential Technical Skills

A successful candidate will possess:

  • Strong foundational knowledge in statistical concepts including probability, distributions, and inferential statistics. Practical experience with regression models is essential.
  • Proficiency in data management with SQL.
  • A basic understanding of cloud environments like AWS or Azure.
  • Excellent programming capabilities in Python and experience with agile development methodologies.
