WESCO Distribution, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is actively seeking a skilled Developer. This position offers the flexibility to work from home with the necessary telecommuting systems in place.

Key Responsibilities

As a Developer at WESCO, you will:

  • Collaborate on existing digital products, drive new product ideas, enhance current intelligent models, and innovate improvements.
  • Work with business planners to propose innovative products and services harnessing big data, or identify the need for new data platforms and associated functionalities.
  • Provide consultative guidance across WESCO businesses on data utilization for business decision-making, fostering organizational mindset and capabilities to fully exploit data as an asset.
  • Act autonomously as an insight incubator, generating or shaping critical business propositions to leverage and monetize big data research.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain Machine Learning and Deep Learning infrastructure, including pipelines, modeling, ML products, and decision support.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and devise original solutions to mathematical issues.
  • Extract data from SQL and NoSQL databases and perform data engineering tasks.
  • Deploy impactful Machine Learning solutions to large-scale production systems.
  • Implement and work with Machine Learning techniques, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
  • Program proficiently in one or more scientific programming languages: Python, C, C++, JavaScript, R, etc.
  • Work on deep learning techniques such as CNN, RNN, reinforcement learning, transformers, and autoencoders.
  • Communicate effectively with technical teams, clients, and senior stakeholders through appropriate outputs and visualizations.
  • Identify patterns and relationships between complex entities using machine learning on graph databases/knowledge graphs.
  • Work on advanced AI-infused search problems.
  • Identify high-impact analytical problems and find innovative solutions through data analysis, experimentation, and statistical modeling.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Electrical Engineering and three years of experience in business process management within the B2B domain distribution.

Experience Requirements (3 years required in each)

  • Budgeting and financial analysis, including budget management, financial forecasting, and analyzing financial statements and reports.
  • Data collection, interpretation, and quantitative and qualitative analysis using Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, and Python tools.
  • Designing and implementing data management systems, including creating and managing data models, and executing data integration and transformation workflows.
  • Analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to drive growth and improve profitability.
  • Managing inventory levels and tracking stock movements, implementing inventory tracking systems, and conducting regular audits and analyses.
  • Sales forecasting using historical data, market trends, and other factors for accurate sales predictions.
  • Data collection and analysis, transforming relevant information into actionable insights for decision-making.

Additional Experience

Must have experience with the following:

  • Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Machine Learning.
  • Azure Databricks for scalable and collaborative data analytics workflows using Apache Spark.
  • React JS, Angular JS, and Vue JS frameworks, including HTML and JavaScript, for developing interactive web applications.
  • Programming languages: Python, Java, C++, CSS, JavaScript, HTML.
  • Advancements in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and AI such as Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Industrial IoT (IIoT), and Robotics.
  • Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) for creating and managing test plans, executing test cases, tracking defects, and generating reports.
  • Azure Data Factory for orchestrating data movement and processing across on-premises and cloud environments.

Note: Experience can be concurrent.
