We are currently seeking a highly skilled Postdoc Research Scientist with expertise in systems machine learning (ML) to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview

As a Postdoc Research Scientist at Meta's RLR, you'll focus on computational solutions critical for advancing virtual reality technologies. You will lead research in computer architecture, hardware-software codesign, and energy-efficient computing to enhance the authenticity of social presence in VR. Your work will involve close collaboration with a cross-functional team of research scientists, silicon experts, and software engineers to design innovative compute architectures that operate in real-time while optimizing energy usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Advance the science and technology of computer architecture and hardware-software integration.
• Develop high-efficiency hardware solutions for deep learning models.
• Create innovative NN quantization and hardware-aware NAS algorithms.
• Collaborate within the RLR team and contribute to research communities by producing relevant publications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, with a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar.
• Publications in accelerator design, machine learning, AI, and related fields.
• Experience in Deep Learning, AI Infrastructure, Machine Learning Accelerators, and more.
• Advanced programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain it during employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience post-PhD in a relevant industry, faculty, or government researcher role.
• Proven track record with first-author publications at peer-reviewed AI conferences.
• Practical experience with real-time optimization for product features on edge devices.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary range from $117,000 to $173,000/year plus benefits, with actual compensation based on qualifications and experience. At Meta, we provide comprehensive benefits and support for all employees.
