This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in defining next-generation processing solutions utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
Your Job Responsibilities
As a Radar AI/ML Engineer, you will be immersed in groundbreaking activities that include:
- Understanding radar use case requirements and signal processing to pinpoint opportunities for ML acceleration.
- Defining processing flows and use cases optimized for ML acceleration.
- Creating cutting-edge deep neural network architectures for object classification with NXP Radar processors.
- Developing innovative Fast R-CNN based architectures for feature extraction and object detection.
- Integrating algorithms and processing flows into car-level simulations using tools like Carla and Automaker.
- Defining requirements for ML Radar/ADAS capabilities within NXP's requirements database.
- Conducting in-depth use case analysis regarding processing needs, simulations, and modelling.
- Building and maintaining a modelling platform and simulation components for concept analysis.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Systems Engineering, Marketing, Algorithms, Microprocessor, and Software teams.
- Securing key intellectual properties through patent applications.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess:
- System-level work capabilities, with adept solution partitioning between hardware and software.
- Foundational knowledge of ML/AI, including a strong mathematical background.
- Expertise in CNN, RNN, reinforced learning, and other neural networks.
- Practical experience in defining, training, and optimizing neural network applications, gleaned from academic projects or professional assignments.
- Proficiency in high-level modelling languages such as Matlab, System C, C++, and UML.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a knack for information sharing and teamwork.
- Ability to navigate the uncertainties of implementing new technologies comfortably.
- Professional working proficiency in English; German language skills are advantageous.
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
