Job Description

The Senior Computer Vision Data Scientist role entails bridging the gap between complex data, sophisticated machine learning models, and practical computer vision applications. This job involves building and deploying durable computer vision models and analysis, facilitating the creation of intelligent systems and supporting strategic decisions with data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy sophisticated computer vision models, ensuring they are performant and scalable.
  • Align model development with the concrete applications and specific problem areas within the organization.
  • Improve existing computer vision algorithms for increased accuracy and efficiency.
  • Explore and implement optimization techniques to improve model performance in real-world applications.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, anomalies, and insights within the data.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in computer vision and machine learning.
  • Work closely with engineers, researchers, and product teams to integrate computer vision capabilities into products and workflows.
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure product delivery is seamless and up to standard, balancing short-term gains with long-term growth.
  • Adopt a creative and strategic approach to solving tough problems. Make the complicated simple. Bring in innovative ideas from outside platforms.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. or Master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Applied Math, or other quantitative fields.
  • Practical experience in computer vision, image processing, and machine learning, with a proven record of developing and deploying models into production.
  • Strong understanding of the state-of-the-art deep learning techniques for computer vision.
  • 3-5 years of experience in developing deep learning models as a Data Scientist and experience in building products supported by ML /AI
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C++, or Java.
  • Vast experience with machine learning and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, , or Sagemaker.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to think critically and creatively.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
