We are on the hunt for a skilled Senior Data Engineer with expertise in modern, cloud-based data engineering, preferably with Databricks experience. This role involves building and maintaining robust, scalable data solutions that manage terabytes of data in near real-time.

Key Job Requirements

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:

  • Design and develop efficient data processing and storage workflows.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers to merge datasets and create comprehensive solutions.
  • Execute projects utilizing Azure/Lambda functions or Databricks.
  • Advance our Enterprise Data Warehouse with Kimball Methodologies.
  • Demonstrate superb planning, organizational, and leadership skills to manage and deliver project milestones.
  • Offer production support and be available occasionally after hours.

Qualifications for Success

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in designing and implementing data pipelines using Databricks or similar ETL tools like AWS Glue.
  • Proficiency in Advanced SQL and PySpark.
  • Knowledge of Lakehouse architecture, specifically Delta Lake or Iceberg.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs integrations, key value data stores, and caching technologies.
  • Understanding of distributed databases such as Redshift and Snowflake.
  • Strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Database - Specialty, AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP 203), Databricks Certified Data Engineer Professional, Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0 – Python.
