The Role
We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer with a solid background in constructing and managing data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes. In your role as a Senior Data Engineer, you will be integral to our organization's data infrastructure, facilitating efficient and reliable data processing, storage, and analysis.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop robust, scalable, and efficient data pipelines that facilitate the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various data sources into data warehouses and data lakes.
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and design optimal solutions.
Construct and manage data warehouses and data lakes to efficiently accommodate and organize large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
Implement data governance methods and best practices to uphold data quality, integrity, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
Detect and resolve performance bottlenecks, data inconsistencies, and data quality issues in data pipelines, warehouses, and lakes.
Create and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to pre-emptively identify and address data-related issues.
Continuously assess and explore emerging technologies and tools in data engineering to enhance data processing efficiency and scalability.
Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing technical leadership and promoting a collaborative and innovative environment.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in building and managing data pipelines, data warehouses, and data lakes in a production environment.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL and experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Apache Beam.
Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and tools like AWS Glue, dbt, Airflow, Airbyte, etc.
Comprehensive knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and experience with columnar storage technologies (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake).
Sound understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and database design principles.
Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and experience in deploying data infrastructure on the cloud.

Consequently, compensation may differ within and between similar roles and positions. Note that the below salary range is a good faith estimate for this position and the actual compensation for any individual may exceed or be less than this range under certain circumstances. If a role is suitable for a broader range of skills and experience and we would consider hiring at multiple levels then the range listed below may reflect that breadth.
The salary range estimate for this position is $140,000-$150,000.
The actual compensation will be at Reorg’s sole discretion and will be determined by the aforementioned and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
