Job Description
Our team's use cases are diverse, including but not limited to threat detection, policy recommendation, LLM-powered applications, malware detection, content classification, anomaly detection, and AIOps (advanced networking diagnosis). These various use cases allow you the opportunity and challenges to work with multiple machine learning algorithms and tools.
Your role will involve designing and creating machine learning models to provide quicker and more effective solutions for cloud security, cloud operations, and cloud intelligence use cases.
You might not be an expert in every stage of a Machine Learning project, but you should have interests and curiosity in various parts ranging from the data to the business impact of the model.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years' experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist
- Proficiency with Python (pandas, sklearn, pytorch) and SQL
- Experience with feature engineering, model evaluation, and model error analysis
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Master's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering required; a focus on data science is a plus, and a PhD is preferred
- A passion for utilizing ML/AI to solve real-world business issues (improving security and enhancing business results)
- Excellent interpersonal, technical, and communication abilities
- Strong business acumen and customer focus
- Ability to learn, evaluate, and adopt new technologies quickly
- Ability to lead and execute projects from start to finish
- A solid foundation in computer science
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience engineering and fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs)
- Experience with Graph Neural Networks/Knowledge Graphs
- Experience with unsupervised learning (clustering), and evaluating unsupervised models
- Experience with active/few-shot learning
- Experience with logs analysis/logs mining
- Research Experience/Publications
- Experience with various public cloud services (such as AWS, Google, Azure) and ML automation platforms (such as Kubeflow).
- Experience with programming languages such as (Py)Spark.
- Good understanding of operating systems and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with networking and networking security.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000 to $160,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
Zscaler's salary ranges are benchmarked and determined by role and level. The range shown on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
