Introduction: At AppLovin, data-driven decision-making is vital for marketing, game development, and operations. We are looking for machine learning engineers who are analytical, disciplined, and heavily quantitative with experience in big data and a passion for digital marketing and gaming technologies. You will work with top talent and cutting-edge technology on performance marketing and next-generation games, translating your insights into products that impact billions of users. The potential candidate will have a profound background in distributed training frameworks and experience in deploying machine learning models end-to-end. What you'll be doing: - Building, managing and maintaining scalable and efficient machine learning model infrastructure using C++ and other programming languages as required. - Collaborating with data scientists and other engineers to design and implement machine learning modeling frameworks. - Developing and implementing end-to-end data processing/DNN training/model persistence pipelines for large-scale datasets using distributed cloud computing technologies. - Designing and implementing testing and monitoring tools to ensure the quality and reliability of machine learning systems. - Collaborating with other engineering teams to integrate machine learning systems into our products and services. Your background and who you are: - MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar fields. - Over 5 years of experience in developing machine learning infrastructure using C++ and Python. - Experience with GPU/TPU model inference and serving. - Experience with distributed computing technologies like Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka. - In-depth understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures. - Good understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including deep neural networks. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: - Contributions to open-source (e.g., C++/Python/R packages) would be advantageous. - Familiarity with AdTech Real Time Bidding space. - Motivated to improve the work of downstream modelers.
