Join Our gTech Team as a Vendor Manager in Machine Learning Data Operations

About the Role:

Google is looking for a proactive and experienced Vendor Manager to join our Machine Learning Data Operations (MLDO) team within gTech’s Users and Products division. This pivotal role focuses on supervising machine learning and GenAI model tuning data operations to enhance Google’s product offerings.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in operations management, strategy, planning, program management, and vendor management.
- Extensive experience in driving organizational change across various workflows, services, and teams.
- Proficient in using analytics or applying project management tools to address business issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

- In-depth knowledge in extended workforce management or related fields such as program and/or engagement management.
- 2+ years of experience in GenAI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Supervised Machine Learning.
- Familiarity with human in the loop data services for machine learning models.
- Exceptional ability to anticipate needs, think strategically, and influence executive-level stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication skills.

At gTech's Users and Products team (gUP), we advocate for Google's users and partners globally, facilitating outstanding customer and product experiences through innovative solutions. The MLDO team, housed within gUP, operates globally to deliver superior data services that power an array of Google’s products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and track vendor performance against key metrics (KPIs) and SLAs, focusing on on-time delivery, quality, and cost.
- Lead business reviews and maintain robust vendor governance through regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly interactions.
- Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with vendors to encourage open communication and effective problem-solving.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure continuous improvement in all operational processes.
- Effectively manage escalations in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Salary and Benefits:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. The final salary will be determined by various factors like location and experience.
