The ABR unit of Allianz France, within the Pricing, Portfolio, Steering, Performance and Data Directorate, is actively seeking a senior Data Scientist to strengthen its Advanced Data & Climate team. Join the Transversal Data Projects unit and take on innovative challenges related to data management and exploitation.

Your Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, you will participate in various cross-functional projects aimed at:

  • Initiating and leading cross-functional projects within the Technical Directorate.
  • Understanding the issues around data and their use for various teams (pricing, portfolio management, steering).
  • Proposing innovative solutions using Data Science.

Team Objectives

The mission of the Advanced Data & Climate team includes:

  • Developing tools and dashboards with MicroStrategy to optimize data dissemination.
  • Ensuring the reliability and automation of SAS datamarts by market, with a gradual migration to Python.
  • Defining and implementing the optimal data processing strategy via BI and the Global Data Platform (GDP).
  • Developing strategic data utilization projects.

The Transversal Data Projects unit contributes to these objectives by focusing on enhancing Allianz's internal and external data to meet the punctual needs of various entities.

Key Missions

Your primary missions include:

  • Understanding Pro/Enterprise databases and enriching Datamarts with new tools/systems.
  • Facilitating the understanding of business team needs and optimizing communication.
  • Optimizing data storage processes and models via Allianz's Global Data Platform.
  • Participating in cross-functional data enhancement projects.
  • Modeling and designing innovative dashboards using MicroStrategy to improve data access and understanding.

Profile Sought

We are looking for someone with:

  • A Master's degree (Bac+5) in actuarial science or engineering, with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Programming skills (SAS, Python, Spark).
  • Knowledge of data visualization (MicroStrategy, Power BI).
  • Desired experience in project management, particularly IT projects.
  • A good understanding of the insurance sector and Pro/Enterprise markets.
  • Actuarial and/or statistical skills.
  • Sensitivity to predictive techniques (Machine Learning, Big Data).
  • The ability to work in English.
