About the Role
As part of the dynamic Food and Agricultural Commodities team at S&P Global Commodity Insights, we are seeking an
Agricultural Data Analyst specializing in
Costs and Margins. This role centers around enhancing our premier analysis capabilities concerning Global Agricultural Costs and Margins, crucial for our comprehensive coverage of global commodity markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain forecasting models for agriculture costs and margins globally.
- Perform in-depth data analysis on a range of factors including labor rates, machinery, and agriculture inputs like chemicals, fertilizers, and seeds.
- Manage large-scale data collection, ensuring accuracy and relevancy.
- Construct alternative scenarios using our models to support corporate and financial sector clients.
Fostering close cooperation with other segments of the Agribusiness Intelligence branch, the role involves contributing expertise to consulting projects and client interactions across diversified personas, including crop science and fertilizer production companies.
Who We Are Looking For
- Education: BS in Economics or Agricultural Economics; an advanced degree is highly advantageous.
- Experience: 1-2 years in monitoring and forecasting within the agriculture commodities market is preferred.
- Skills: Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in econometric software like Eviews or R. Exceptional communication skills and adeptness in MS Office and Power BI.
